COME AND TAKE IT

Home Parks Maps Bios Stories Links

Palmetto SP Has some unique flora, the dwarf Palmetto. Really great place to relax, along the San Marcos river or in the forests. Few good choices for roads, 183 north of I-10 is dangerous for cyclists, and both the San Marcos and Guadalupe Rivers have limited crossings. Terrain varies from rolling to flat/undulating. The town of Gonzales has a lot of history in it, and was the site of the first skirmish of the Texas Revolution. Read the wiki article.
