In central France, I kept riding with a gentleman in his 70’s. One of us would stop for a break and we would separate, only to pass the other again at the next break. I was working as hard as I could on my high dollar ride; he was on a heavy looking upright cruiser.
No way could he be keeping up. But the uphills were a non-issue for him. I finally caved in and asked him how he was doing so well.
Electric bike.
With two batteries he could do 100k+ on the flats. What a fantastic way to get out and vacation. The bike stores in Europe will have a large section dedicated to electric bikes.
